Spanish Volunteers search for dead body in market

Spanish volunteers that come to Bantul Indonesia to give help, trying to search victim's corpse in Payungan Market. Eartquake caused big damage to that market, according to the information they got from cloth seller, there is a numbers of dead body under the ruin of market. The Spanish volunteer, 6 persons, wear shirt written Rescue Team K9 Creixell Spain. They also bring 4 dogs with them.

They have searched for one hour but still dont get any result. Also with them there are 50 Indonesian police trying to clean up the ruin.

The Piyungan market still not to crowded since Earthquake at Saturday. Meanwhile, peoples who are begging for aid standing up from KM 2 until KM 15. The weahter is clear there.

King Harald's condolences

King Harald from Norwegia said his condolence for earthquake victims in Indonesia. He phoned Indonesia's president to talk about it. Norwegia's prime minister, Jens Stotltenberg also gives his deep condolences. According to the data, no Norwegian become earthquake victim.

Norwegia planned to send medical team to Indonesia, also with 8 field hospital. External Affair minister, Jonas Gahr Store and Development minister, Erik Solheim will equipped that hospitals with 8 expert.

Indonesia's Embassy in Oslo has set up a phone line for earthquake information. Many of Indonesian in Norwegia asked about their family condition.

Jap's Government : US$ 10 Million for helping Earthquake victims

Japan's government gives US$10 million for helping Earthquake's victim. The aid given by Japan Ambassador, Shien Ebihara, directly to Indonesia's president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, just a while after the president arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport. Jap's government also gives usefull things such as : mat, tent , drugs and water purifier, the value is about 20 million Yen ( Jap's currency ).

Also they are planning to sent medical teams to Indonesia, 4 doctors, 1 drug expert, 1 ambassador and nurses. The goods will be given to Sultan Hamengkubuwono X ( Governor of Jogjakarta ) by , Tetsuzo Fuyushito and Takano Hiroshi from Japan's parlement.

Trained by Al Qaeda : One of the Indonesian caught by Malaysia Police

One of Indonesians that caught by Malaysia Police was trained by Al Qaeda. This was the result of police investigation. This man also give training to Darul Islam ( DI ) in Indonesia and Abu Sayaf's guerilla in South Philipina, one of his speciality is creating bomb and weapon.

Indonesia police department confirm that there are Indonesians that caught by Malaysia's police. The groups that been caught is consist of 10 Indonesian and 2 Malaysian, their target is to make terrorist action in South East Asia, but the detail still unknown. The investigation now also focusing whether this groups have relationship with Abu Sayaf.

48.873 houses destroyed

From the data that gained by Indonesian Social Departement ( 31/5, 8.30 ), reported that thousands of building get damaged. 48.873 houses destroyed, which according to the data, the house flattened to the ground. 56.559 houses get serious damaged, 62.155 houses get light damaged.

Besides houses many other buildings got some damaged. The causes of the great number of house destroyed, is the material that built the house. Most of the villager build their house only with woods and simple material. Big building like Carrefour in city only get a simple cracked.

The high number of injured people, makes hospital run out of treatment place. St Elizabeth Ganjuran Hospital at Bantul, forced to treat their patient at cemetery near the hospital ( Saturday ). Besides the lack of treatment room, the electricity and emergency tools also in shortage condition.

100 thousand idr instant noodle, trader get hit by people

A trader in Bantul ( place that got big earthquake in Indonesia ) get hit by the villager there because selling instant noodle in a high price. He sell a box of instant noodle for IDR 100.000 ( Indonesian Rupiah ), usually the price is about IDR 28.000-IDR 32.000. After being punched by villager, he said sorry then sell it with a normal price. Villager got angry because this man try to get benefit from their suffering.

" Darn him, we're so suffered here, and he wants to get high profit ", said one of the volunter that watch that incident.

Most of food price went higher since the earthquake four days ago. Because foods and water is scarce there. The aid from government move slowly and some of it get lot from people that live beside the big road ( they stopped the truck and steal all the aid for themselves ). Now , the truck with aid get guard from Indonesian soldier.

Earthquake in Indonesia : Still alive after buried for two hours ,3 months old baby

On Saturday 27/5, Earthquake hit Jogjakarta. One of the victim is a 3 months old baby. Her head get hit by damaged wall and buried by the ruin for two hours. The accident happened when her mother leave her to washing clothes. Then big earthquake come attacking their city, the house get damaged and destroyed in a short time. Eni ( the mother ), quikly come inside the house to search for her baby. She asked help from neighbour, but everybody don’t care about her and want to rescue themselves and their own goods.

For two hours Eni keep digging her destroyed house. She’s got stuck seeing her baby under bricks and other house material. The baby didn’t make any movement and sound. Also the head of baby bleeding. But later when the mother come near , the baby move.

“ Im crying, and try to search my baby under the ruin of my house. Im almost give up, but after two hours I find her still alive “ said Eni . Now Eni and the baby get medical care at Panti Rapih Yogya Hospital. Doctor said that her baby didn’t get serious injury

Earthquake in Java ( Indonesia ) : 43 Volunteer from Abu Dhabi Left Alone

The government ( Indonesia ) seem got panic, not only victim, but also 43 volunteer from Abu Dhabi leave alone in Klaten. They are from Abu Dhabi Police, they only sitting down around People's Representative Office at Klaten. Some of them just walking around. They arrived at Jogjakarta at Monday ( 29/5 ), with 2 dogs and 2 doctors.

At Jogja, the previous mission to evacuate moving smooth and they didnt get any corpse. So they leave Jogja and went to Klaten. In Klaten, unfortunately, they didnt get any place to stay, so they decided to stay at People's Representative office. " We dont know what must we do here, because we dont get clear instruction from government " said Fidel Cabeliza, one of the volunteer. The Abu Dhabi embassy still dont get coordinated with Indonesia's governtment.

The poor volunteers dont even know Indonesia well. They asked about whether Klaten is in Java island or not, and the distance between Klaten and Jakarta, Klaten to Jogjakarta.

Earthquake again ( Indonesia ) : Wamena

Earthquake happen again this evening. 6 Ritcher Quake hit Wamena ( Papua, Indonesia ), at 12 : 28 ( East Indonesia Time ). The earthquake caused panic for the people there, but no victim or damaged reported. The epicentrum of earthquake is 115 Km from North East Wamena city, the depth is 33 Km.


Wamena city feel the earthquake at 4 MMI ( Modification Marseli Intensity ), Tanah Merah 2-3 MMI and Jayapura also 2-3 MMI.

10 Militant From Indonesia caught by Malaysia's Police

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s police departement caught 12 militant that supposed to planning terrorism activity. 10 of them are from Indonesia. The 12 militant , according from Malaysia Police Departement are from Darul Islam Indonesia ( organization ). And have been tailed by police for 6 month in Sabah.

Police don’t gives detailed about the time of caught, but they seize some documents from the militant. The document’s content is instruction to makes bomb from internet. Police havent found what are they planning for and what’s their target. Police still analyze the case, whether Darul Islam Indonesia has relationship with Al Qaeda or Abu Sayaf movement at South Filipina ( that bordering with Sabah )

Earthquake in Indonesia : Earthquake will trigger Explosion of Merapi

The Earthquake at Jogjakarta that killed 5000 people predicted can trigger the Explosion of Merapi Mountain. The big Earthquake is related to Tsunami at Aceh, 2004. Edward Bryant from Wollongong University, Australia said that, Tsunami and Earthquake has a great correlation. The Tsunami at 2004 triggered the big Earthquake ( 18 months after )

Indonesia is placed at vulcanic and tectonic plain in earth.Merapi mountain is the youngest vulcanic mountain in Java, and the most active among others vulcanic mountain. This mountain placed at subduction zone, which is Indo Australia plain keep moving under Eurasia plain.

Earthquake in Indonesia : Jap's Medical team arrived

Japanese Emergency Medical team arrived at Jogjakarta to gives help to eartquake's victim. They arrived at May 30. And set up their post at Muhammadiyah Hospital, Bantul ( areas with highest victim number. Yoshiharu Kato , Japan's Ambassador, said that Japan's Governtment sent 25 medical personnel to Jogjakarta.

Japanese Medical Team will used their high medical technologi such as bio diagnostic tools, x-ray and ultrasonic machine to help victim with broken bone. They will also help mobilize patient to a better hospital.
